DRINK RIOJA AT CAMINO!
From Wednesday 16th to 30th October, we are delighted to be involved with ‘Drink Rioja’ – an exciting campaign to show off the best of Spain’s most famous and diverse wine-producing region.
The wide range of styles, from light and accessible to rich and profound, embrace increasing innovation and yet respect for the tradition. No wonder this astonishingly beautiful part of northern Spain continues to make wines loved by so many.
There will be various activities throughout the 2 weeks, showcasing 7 different styles of Rioja, from a bracingly fresh White and Rosé to rich and mature Reserva and Gran Reserva.
FLIGHTS
Try a flight of 3 different wines. Mix it up and do back to back comparisons to find your favourite styles.

TASTINGS
Dedicated staff at each Camino will guide you through a tastings of all the wines. Each wine gets a matching tapita (bite-sized tapa)

Cost is £25 per person, booked in advance, 6:30 to 7:30pm There are only 20 spaces available for each tasting so we recommend pouncing on these!

Once you’ve tried all the wines you are welcome to stay on for dinner and get 20% off the entire bill.
If your approach to wine is more light-hearted, then fear not! Throughout the 2 week period we will switch up our existing Sangría to one made with Rioja, making it even more delicious. It will be available by the glass and pitcher at the usual price. Fill your boots!
CAMINO BANKSIDE PARTY
We thought we’d conclude the Drink Rioja fun by going out in style and have a party at Camino Bankside by the Tate Modern. Wednesday 30th, from 6pm onwards. No tickets necessary, just show up. First 100 people to arrive get free tapitas and jamón serrano (being carved on the evening by executive chef Nacho del Campo) with every glass of Rioja ordered while stocks last. Spanish guitarists from 6pm to 9pm. The range of Rioja – of course!
DRINK RIOJA AND ENTER A PRIZE DRAW TO WIN A £100 TAB AT CAMINO
Ask for a card from the bar, and receive a stamp for each wine style tried over the course of the two week promotion. Once you’ve had all the boxes stamped, hand in the card to the bar and keep your part safe. The winning number, selected at random, will be announced on the website and social media at the beginning of November. We will then send you a voucher to be used in the bar or restaurant at any Camino.
Runners up: 2 more numbered cards will then be picked – 2nd prize will be 4 bottles of Rioja and 3rd prize will be 2 bottles. These will be any of your choice from the ones listed during the promotion, subject to availability.
You can go to any branch of Camino to try the different wines, and to enjoy the prizes.
